Henderson

Our little guide to living in the city of Henderson, Nevada. Located just a few miles southeast of central Las Vegas and "The Strip", Henderson has become one of the most popular places to live in this fast-growing region. Most would consider it a suburb of Las Vegas, but it's actually become the second largest city in Nevada.

Henderson ranked 20th in Money magazine's "Best Places to Live" in 2006. As a city without a long history that is being built "from scratch", Henderson has received numerous accolades for the way the city has handled community and business development. The innovative "Henderson Business Star" program is targeted at providing significant help to businesses that expect to experience significant growth.

Between the casinos, hotels and the downtown convention center, Henderson has over 100,000 square feet of meeting space. Next door to the convention center is the new Henderson Events Plaza, covering 2.7 acres with 60,000 square feet of event space and a 4,000 square foot shaded, canopied amphiteatre.

Henderson is in the Southeast Region of the Clark County School District (CCSD). Information about the schools in the area can be found here.
